What the price protects
No open-ended AI bill and no subscription trap.
Free previews use deterministic parsing and rendering. Paid provider calls are reserved, metered, and stopped at the package allowance. Exhausting the allowance does not block deterministic formatting or create an overage charge.
Verify email control, upload one manuscript, confirm its Book Map, and claim the promotional credit only when the final export begins.
Use a book credit only when creating the final commercial production package.
Receive reports for output validation, accessibility, font policy, text integrity, and reproducibility where applicable.
Pricing questions
Can I publish a BookSetter book without a credit card?
Eligible verified creators may receive one publishable package through the limited Free First Edition Beta. It is one per eligible account, bound to one manuscript project, subject to fair-use limits, and not a permanent offer.
Does BookSetter charge a subscription?
No. BookSetter currently charges per book or prepaid book pack. There is no recurring monthly plan.
Can external AI charges exceed my package price?
No. Paid provider usage has a hard cap. BookSetter falls back to deterministic analysis when the allowance is exhausted.
Is the $99 Premium Proofed Edition for sale?
Not yet. That package remains unavailable until its stricter rendered-page release gate passes the production benchmark corpus. The website does not accept payment for it today.
Does payment include retailer distribution?
No. BookSetter prepares files and reports for your publishing workflow. It does not currently upload or distribute the book to retail marketplaces for you.
